Volunteering: Faith in Action

Nora Moya is one of the students who volunteered for CatholicCare last Christmas, to prepare fresh food hampers for families in need. In this video, we learn about the rewarding experience of volunteering for an organisation and how it helped Nora grow in her faith.

REFLECT
1. Nora and her classmates volunteered alongside people with disabilities. How do you think working in solidarity with a diversity of people helps us become more like Christ?

2. Nora sees helping other people as an integral part of her faith. How do you think you can put your faith ‘in action’ this Lent?

PRAY
Teach me, Lord Jesus, to be generous:
to serve You as You deserve;
to give, not counting the cost;
to fight, not heeding the wounds;
to toil, not asking for rest;
to labour, not seeking any reward,
save that of knowing that we do Your will.
Amen.
