XT3

“Xt3” stands for Christ (Xt) in the 3rd Millennium, and was inspired by Saint Pope John Paul II’s challenge to youth at World Youth Day, 1989: "You young people have in a special way the task of witnessing today to the faith; the commitment to bring the Gospel of Christ into the third Christian Millennium, to build a new civilization - a civilization of love, of justice and of peace."

Connect: Xt3.com is a content driven social networking site that has the duel function of providing a space for young Catholics to network and connect online, as well as supplying formative, Catholic, youth-friendly resources. The website, hosted by Catholic Communications, Archdiocese of Sydney, provides young people from around Australia (and the world) with a forum to obtain answers to the tough questions young people face in their everyday lives.

Share: Over the past 7 years, Xt3.com has expanded to be a source of high-quality multimedia, Catholic content that can be shared to a wider audience through secular social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and Tumblr. Xt3.com has also created SmartPhone Apps for Lent and Advent, with over 10,000 App downloads in total across all devices.

Build a Better World: Xt3.com has also developed a reputation for streaming live content from events both within Australia, such as the Australian Catholic Youth Festival and the Installation of Sydney’s Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP, as well as international events such as World Youth Days, Canonisations, and the Pope’s Apostolic trips, in order to emphasis the universal nature of the Church in our world. The Xt3 team is also present at youth events and conferences around Australia, introducing and encouraging Australia’s young Catholics that they can build a better world online.
